From a modest start in one Kelvin Grove shop on the corner of Eureka Street and Kelvin Grove Road, Brisbane, back in 1986, where our furniture was hand-made and polished on site, Eureka Street Furniture has expanded to eleven retail shops around Queensland. As well as stores throughout Brisbane, Eureka Street Furniture enjoys shops on the Gold Coast, Townsville, Cairns, Toowoomba and in Kawana. We specialise in modern and classic furniture made from new and recycled solid timber using century-old techniques. The 9,500 sq.mt factory in Archerfield stores local and imported furniture and services our many stores as well as wholesaling to customers in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and New Zealand.
This firm, originally a husband and wife operation, now employs sixty Queenslanders and has become a trusted household name in Queensland. Eureka Street Furniture was the first furniture retailer in Brisbane to care for the environment by making furniture from timber recovered from demolition sites, many well known, like the Coca-Cola factory in James Street, Brett’s Wharves and the Roma Street Rail Yards. All Eureka stores carry furniture made from recycled timber, much of it well over a century old, which originally put us on the map.
We also import leather lounges from Asia and have expanded our huge furniture range to include modern designs in Victorian Ash, European Beech and Australian Blackwood to suit trendy Brisbane high-rises and coastal homes and units. A visit to a Eureka store is a must, whether you own an old Queenslander or a modern coastal high-rise.
